Snapshots Into My Life

What I am seeing through my lens this week.

This candle smells so good! Everything about it reminds me of fall. I have been burning it since the end of August.

My mom and I went away this week. I always feel so bad about leaving Luna.

Our getaway was in West Virginia, Wild and Wonderful!

The Greenbrier Resort! This was our destination. I will be posting more later, but this hotel is amazing.

The views at the pool are unbelievable! The leaves on the trees were already starting to change. I could stay here forever.

On the way home, we stopped in Columbus for dinner at the Buckeye Hall of Fame Grill. It was pretty good, but the Buckeye Pie was so yummy!

Snapshots Into My Life

What I am seeing through my lens this week.

I actually found white pumpkins last week. I think they are so pretty! It was a little too early in the season for me to buy them, but fingers crossed that they will be there in a few weeks.

I received this tea pot for Christmas, but I was only just able to use it. I was so happy to hear the whistle letting me know my water was boiling away.

My cousin sent me a surprise this week in the mail. It was such a nice thing! This candle smells absolutely divine!

I broke out the Crock Pot to make dinner this week. I made this pot roast. It was so yummy! I highly recommend trying it out.

Snapshots Into My Life

What I am seeing through my lens this week.

We celebrated Brynley's birthday on Monday and she loved her cake! I can't believe she is 1 already. Where did this year go?

One the way back from Wisconsin, my mom and I stopped in Shipshewana, IN. This site made me giggle because all the emergency vehicles were golf carts.

Last fall, I constantly looked for these pumpkin spice M&M's. I never found them, so I started early this year and bought 4 bags. I don't know how I am going to use them, but I will be prepared!

Snapshots Into My Life

What I am seeing through my lens this week.

I finally found my coffee pot! I was so happy to see it. I made my first cup of coffee with my own coffee pot...in the living room. Someday it will be in the kitchen. I just don't know when that someday is at the moment.

One of Brynley's socks was left in my car when they came to Pennsylvania a few weeks ago. We are celebrating her birthday on Monday and I can't wait to see her again and give her back her sock.

Libby spent the night last night, so I brought her bed over. While we were doing some running around, she decided that she would take advantage of it being in the backseat. Not a bad way to travel.

Not to be out done, but this little girl was sitting pretty before getting up for the day. I can't tell if she looks tired or was mad at me for taking a picture.

Snapshots Into My Life

What I am seeing through my lens this week.

When I got home last Sunday night, a package was waiting for me. Inside was a cheeseboard from Cambria for my countertop purchase. It is really nice and heavy!

Countertops have been installed!!!! More on that on Monday.

This little lady had a rough Tuesday. In the morning I looked at her and her head was shaking. So off to the vet we went. They didn't see anything wrong with her during a physical exam. Tuesday night, the tremoring was really bad. I was able to get a video of it so I can show the vet this coming Tuesday for her regular exam. It was a scary time for her and me.

My cousin has really been into essential oils. My mom started taking these a few weeks ago, so I started on Friday. I am hoping to drop some weight, as well as gain some energy.

I was eagerly waiting for this package to come. Berres Brothers was featured on the Food Network and they are located about 45 minutes from my brother. Since I was hoping my kitchen would be done this week, I ordered some coffee to celebrate. I still have to find my coffee pot and my kitchen isn't done.

Snapshots Into My Life

What I am seeing through my lens this week.

I wasn't feeling very good last Sunday and was wanting something comforting. So some Potbelly's soup it was. There is something so comforting about good soup.

Lysa TerKeurst released a new book last week. She did a webcast on Tuesday and that was fantastic. I highly recommend this book and I haven't even finished it. Some very powerful stuff!

I had an unexpected delay in picking up my brother and his family at the airport. An accident caused the highway to be closed, so I had to detour and so did a whole bunch of other people. I ended up being late, but I eventually made it. Talking about having a test of patience.

But at the end of it all, I got to see this cute face! I love this girl so much. Her first birthday is on Friday. Where has the time gone?

Snapshots Into My Life

What I am seeing through my lens this week.

Last week, Toledo had a water crises that lasted for several days. At first we were told that we weren't even to touch the water. Of course, I heard about it after I had brushed my teeth and taken a shower. But this was the line outside of the Costco near Ann Arbor. It was a mad rush to get as much water as you could.

My friend Sheri loves olives. I found these to-go containers of olives at Target, so I had to send a picture to her.

I didn't take this picture of the cutest niece ever, but I had to post it because she is so adorable. I get to see her next weekend and I can't wait!

I am working on ribbon topiaries for my cousin's daughter's first birthday party. I am hoping to get a tutorial up once they are finished, so I am documenting my progress.

Snapshots Into My Life

What I am seeing through my lens this week.

Luna usually sleeps in later than I do. And she is all about the comfort!

It wasn't all fun times with Luna this week. She decided to roll around in something that made her smell like a barn animal. So she got an impromptu bath right in the middle of my work day. I think the worst part is that I paid for her to have a bath last week.

She got her barn animal smell on her collar too and it was time for a new one anyway. So I ordered her one from Clara's Collars. They have tons of fun fabrics to choose from. Now Luna has a collar that matches her harness and leash that she got for Christmas. Go Buckeyes!

I love most things cherry, especially pop. This has to be one of my favorites. Quite a few years ago, my family toured their brewery outside of Milwaukee. So good!

I am happy to say that I am in the final stretch of the kitchen reno. So I am looking for hardware. Who knew there was so much to choose from. I have changed my mind a few times about what i wanted, but think I have narrowed it down.

Snapshots Into My Life

What I am seeing through my lens this week.

I got to see this cutie last weekend. I can't believe she is 11 months old already! My brother put a swing up for her and she LOVED it! She is going to be a little daredevil.

Luna has the tendency to be overly friendly when people come over. So she gets put "in jail." I put a gate up at the bottom of the stairs, so she can still see, but not touch our visitors.

Someone got a bath this week!! I don't know who feels better about that - me or her. She was a little stinky, especially after staying at a kennel that also has horses. She is a pretty girl!

Pizza Palooza is this weekend in Sylvania, OH. Nine area pizza places are competing to be the best! But to be honest, the pizza I had was only okay. I stick to my favorite Marco's pizza.

Snapshots Into My Life

What I am seeing through my lens this week.

Saturday morning at the farmer's market. I love this place. As the summer goes on, the tables fill up with lots of good, local produce.

My mom and I are spending the long holiday weekend in Pennsylvania. On Thursday night, we had a nice bonfire and made s'mores. So good!!

When I was a little girl, my family would come to Pennsylvania for 4th of July. Back in those good ol' days, there was a big parade followed by a carnival. The parade went away for a few years, but it is coming back. Lots of tractors and fire trucks, but lots of fun memories.

I love fireworks! We had a great spot to see a fantastic display. I hope I get to see more throughout the summer.

Snapshots Into My Life

What I am seeing through my lens this week.

My mom lives on the corner of of a busy street and her neighborhood. Saturday night, there was an accident right  at the intersection. Thankfully, no one was seriously injured, but there was quite a bit of excitement in a normally quiet neighborhood.

I have been craving hot tea when I am not in a place to have it. This week, I was at my mom's so I was able to make myself some really yummy tea. It is a beautiful red color.

The drywall process began this week. A post will be coming soon!

Luna loves chewing on water bottles. She takes the top and wrapper off and chews on the bottle. I caught her sleeping with a bottle in her bed.

Snapshots Into My Life

What I am seeing through my lens this week.

These are so good!!! I highly recommend trying them out.

Are you watching the World Cup? I grew up in a soccer household, so I definitely had to watch the U.S. team. I believe that we will win!!

Kitchen started its transformation this week. It is an interesting process. More to come soon!

Luna turned 2 this week. My little girl is growing up. The top left picture is right after I got her. She was so tiny!! She is definitely my little buddy.

So to celebrate, she got a Bow Wow Sundae at Mr. Freeze! It comes with 2 Milkbones. Not a bad celebration for a dog.
